ABSTRACT
Overview
A toddler presented with a 10 × 12 cm temporal scalp degloving injury with exposed bone, posing a significant reconstructive challenge.
Management
Reconstruction was performed using a Biodegradable Temporising Matrix (BTM), which provided an effective solution for wound coverage and tissue regeneration.
Outcome
The use of BTM offered a straightforward reconstructive pathway to healing while minimizing surgical morbidity.
Conclusion
This approach demonstrates that biodegradable temporising matrices can provide an effective and low morbidity option for managing complex scalp injuries in pediatric patients.
